Tell Me Lies: A Movie Review

Tell Me Lies is a recently released film in cinemas. It follows a group of high school kids who become involved in a love triangle. The film has received mixed reviews, but I thought it was rather nice. In this blog post, I’ll discuss why I loved Tell Me Lies and what I believe its main qualities are.

The toxic/hot/kind of stupid/really pretty toxic/hot coupling between Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White) is…magnetic in this Hulu series. Fans freaked out when a second season was announced, and it’s probably for the best that the two protagonists continue to tease us with an IRL relationship. Please provide more twisted, poisonous hotness!

If he begins to tiptoe toward villainy, the series will give him a sad disclosure or a real moment of kindness; whenever he threatens to appear too charming, it will slip in a casual reminder of how brutally heartless he can be. The push-pull puts us in the same situation as protagonist Lucy (Grace Van Patten), who spends years wriggling on his hook before finally breaking free and it’s Tell Me Lies’ keen understanding of the psychology driving its central relationship that sets it apart from any number of dramas about steamy but doomed romances.

About the Film Tell Me Lies

Jane, the primary character in the film, is played by Lucy Hale. She is a clever and independent high school student who becomes entangled in the lives of her two best friends, Alex (Andrew Jacobs) and Nate (Andrew Jacobs) (Austin Abrams). Alex has been secretly in love with Jane since they were children, while Nate is an all-star athlete with college aspirations. Jane is divided between the two, and a chain of events leads to a tragic conclusion.

What I Enjoyed About the Film

Tell Me Lies did an excellent job of depicting the difficulties that come with adolescent relationships. Lucy Hale had a wonderful portrayal as Jane, capturing the difficulties of having to choose between two people who mean much to you. Andrew Jacobs and Austin Abrams were also excellent as the two love interests, and I believe they did an excellent job of conveying the chemistry required for a film like this.

Tell Me Lies filming location?

The film was shot on location in Los Angeles and does an excellent job of capturing the metropolis. There are some fantastic nighttime pictures of the city that truly establish the tone for the drama that unfolds throughout the film.

Concerning all characters

The movie’s other characters were also extremely nice. Jane’s parents, portrayed by Jessica McNamee and Ben Parker, contributed a lot of heart to the picture, and their sequences together were some of the most poignant. Alex’s sister, Rose (Molly Gordon), was an excellent addition, providing humorous relief throughout the film.

Can we get Tell Me Lies?

Tell Me Lies may be purchased on iTunes and other online streaming providers. It is also available as a DVD or Blu-ray disc in various regions of the world.

Last Thoughts

I loved Tell Me Lies and believe it’s a terrific film to watch if you want something lighter but still significant. The film does an excellent job of conveying the challenges of teenage love, and it is well worth seeing if you get the opportunity.

Conclusion

Overall, I believe Tell Me Lies is an excellent film that reflects the difficulties of adolescent relationships. The performance was superb, and the tale was captivating. I would strongly suggest it to anyone searching for something different than what is often available in cinemas. If you enjoy romantic comedies, you should see Tell Me Lies.
